BBC Introducing Live Vacant Weekend

BBC Introducing Live Vacant Weekend is an alternative pop trio hailing from Cumbria, currently residing in Manchester. The three friends met during the year, 7 at school, and instantly bonded, finding comfort in jamming and performing music together. Vacant, in its present form, was established in 2018, drawing inspiration from discoand Motown alongside noughties indie-rock bands like Two Door Cinema Club and The Wombats. They have now developed their own niche that can broadly be characterized as funk-inspired, groove-focused, cathartic indie rock.

BBC Introducing Live band

has experienced two enjoyable summers filled with festivals, returning to Kendal Calling, Bluedot, and Solfest, while also appearing for the first time at the scenic Eskfest in Cumbria and the Victorious festival in Portsmouth. They intend to reach as many new audiences as possible in 202 BBC Introducing Live Vacantbrings along three incredible session musicians to form a 6-piece live band, enhancing their onstage chemistry and musical prowess to a higher level. The  band has secured spots on Spotify editorial. playlists ‘New Music Friday’ and ‘Fresh Finds UK/IE’ with their track ‘Do I Don’t You,’ and following this success, they staged a four-date single-launch tour coinciding with their single release ‘My Addictions.’

Reasonably loud and appropriately energetic, Morton Betts adds a new twist to music. that straddles rock, punk, and generally alternative domains. BBC Introducing Live The Lancaster-based duo Jack Taylor and Niall Graham serve as the creative engine behind The band was brought to life on stage through the addition of powerful drums from Liam Santonand groovy basslines from Joe Lewis.This collaboration has helped forge a unique sound fueled by a blend of post-punk, rock ‘n’ roll, and progressive influences. Merging elements of pop, soul, and alternative rock, the BBC Introducing Live Morecambe-born, Leeds-based songwriter captures feelings and experiences that often go unvoiced through her candid storytelling. As she embarks on a new phase in her career,Lois embraces the turmoil, strength, and joy of self-discovery as an independent artist.

WHY TOBACCO DOCK

The organizers were seeking a spacious  venue that could accommodate a significant number ofattendees while offering various areas to serve as exhibition zones, talk theaters, workshops, and performance spaces. Another crucial factor in the selection of Tobacco Dock as the venue for BBC Introducing LIVE was the urban aesthetic of the building, which perfectly aligns with the event’s essence and target audience.
